Our AML and Verification Policy
Infinity Casino operates under a Curaçao licence, and that licence carries real obligations: we must know who plays on our platform, monitor what moves through it, and report suspicious activity. This page sets out exactly how we do that and what it means for you.
Our AML Commitment at Infinity Casino
Why the rules apply to us
We hold our licence from the Curaçao gaming authority, and we treat its anti-money-laundering and counter-terrorist-financing framework as the minimum standard, not a ceiling. Our compliance team is responsible for making sure every part of the operation meets those obligations, from the moment you register to the day your withdrawal lands in your account.
In practice this means three things. We verify the identity of our players before money leaves the platform. We monitor transaction patterns for signs of criminal property, layering or unusual behaviour that cannot be reasonably explained. And we cooperate fully with the authorities of our licence jurisdiction, including filing suspicious activity reports where the law requires it, without tipping you off.
- Identity verification (KYC) before first withdrawal
- Ongoing transaction monitoring across deposits and withdrawals
- Source of funds checks for high-value or unusual activity
- Cooperation with our licensing authority and law enforcement
- Staff training and an internal MLRO function
When We Verify Your Account
Verification triggers
You can register, deposit and play without completing full verification, but we verify identity at specific points. The main one is your first withdrawal request: no funds leave the platform until your account is fully verified. We may also ask for documents at registration where our risk screening flags it, and at any point afterwards if thresholds, transaction patterns or a change of payment method triggers a review under our monitoring rules.
We do not run verification as a single gate and forget it. Accounts are re-reviewed periodically and when behaviour changes in ways that require a fresh look, for example a sudden jump in deposit volume or a withdrawal to a method you have never used before.
- Photo ID: passport, national identity card or driver's licence, with all corners visible and unaltered
- Proof of address: a utility bill, bank statement or official government letter dated within the last three months
- Proof of payment method: a photo of your card (middle digits masked), a screenshot of your e-wallet account or a bank statement showing the account holder name
- Source of funds evidence where the amount or pattern of your play warrants it
| Trigger | What we need from you |
|---|---|
| First withdrawal | Photo ID, proof of address, proof of payment method |
| Registration | Basic details; documents only if risk screening flags the account |
| High-value activity | Source of funds evidence in addition to standard documents |
| New payment method | Proof the method belongs to you |
Our Verification, Step by Step
From upload to approval
Verification is handled inside your account, and in most cases our team completes it within 24 to 48 hours of receiving clear documents. Documents submitted before 3pm AEST on a business day are normally reviewed the same day. If anything is unreadable or a corner of your ID is cut off, we ask you to resubmit, and the clock restarts from that resubmission.
Every file you upload is stored on encrypted servers with access limited to trained compliance staff. We never share your documents with third parties except where we are legally obliged to, and we never ask for documents by email or live chat. Any request of that kind claiming to come from us is fraudulent, and you should report it to [email protected] immediately.
- Open the verification section of your account profile
- Upload your photo ID, proof of address and proof of payment method
- Our compliance team reviews the files, usually within 24 to 48 hours
- You receive written confirmation once the account is fully verified
- If anything is unclear, we contact you with specific instructions on what to resubmit
Source of Funds Explained
When we ask and why
Source of funds means where the money you play with actually came from. We ask for this evidence when the size or pattern of your transactions is out of step with what we would expect, for example a run of large deposits in a short period, sustained high-stakes play, or repeated deposits followed by near-immediate withdrawal requests. The threshold is not fixed; it depends on your overall profile as a player.
Acceptable evidence is ordinary paperwork you already have. Nothing exotic: payslips, a tax return or notice of assessment, bank statements showing regular income, or documents proving the sale of an asset. If you play with crypto, we may ask for evidence linking the wallet to you and for the origin of the funds. This is not an accusation. It is a legal requirement of our licence, and most players clear it with a single document.
We would rather ask a slightly uncomfortable question than let the platform be used to launder money. If you cannot or will not explain the origin of funds above our thresholds, we cannot process withdrawals, and the account may be closed.
- Payslips or an employment contract
- Bank statements showing the income that funds your play
- Tax returns or a notice of assessment
- Sale contracts or other proof of an asset disposal
- For crypto: wallet ownership and transaction history
How We Monitor Transactions
Deposits, withdrawals and limits
Every deposit and withdrawal passes through automated screening before it settles. Deposits are checked against your profile and our risk rules at a minimum of 30 AUD, which is our floor for both deposits and withdrawals. Withdrawals are capped at 8,000 AUD per day and 32,000 AUD per month, and these caps also function as monitoring thresholds: requests approaching them draw a closer look.
Our default rule is that money comes back out the way it came in. If you deposited with PayID, we pay you back to PayID; if you deposited with Bitcoin, we pay back to Bitcoin. This same-method rule is a core AML control because it stops money being routed through one channel in and a different channel out. E-wallet and crypto withdrawals are processed within 24 hours, often much faster, and crypto payouts are typically cleared inside one hour. Card and bank transfer withdrawals take one to three business days. We charge no fees on either side.
Monitoring is not a one-off scan. Our systems look at patterns across your whole account history: deposit velocity, failed withdrawal attempts, bets that look designed to convert rather than to play, and movement between payment methods. Where a pattern is unusual but explainable, we will simply ask. Where it is not explainable, we act.
| Item | Rule |
|---|---|
| Minimum deposit | 30 AUD |
| Minimum withdrawal | 30 AUD |
| Daily withdrawal cap | 8,000 AUD |
| Monthly withdrawal cap | 32,000 AUD |
| Withdrawal routing | Same payment method as the deposit |
| E-wallet and crypto payouts | 0 to 24 hours (crypto often within 1 hour) |
| Cards and bank transfer | 1 to 3 business days |
What Happens if Verification Fails
Consequences we cannot waive
If your documents are missing, unreadable, expired or do not match the details on your account, we pause withdrawals until the problem is fixed. Your deposited funds stay in your account and you can keep playing, but nothing leaves the platform while an account is unverified. This is not a discretionary policy; our licence leaves no room for exceptions.
Where a document fails verification three times, or where we suspect that an ID does not belong to you, the account is locked pending a manual review by our compliance team. If verification is refused outright, whether because of falsified documents, a sanctioned jurisdiction on our restricted list, or an unexplained source of funds, we close the account. The balance of your deposit is returned to the verified payment method it came from, and any winnings linked to the breach may be voided under our terms.
If you disagree with a verification decision, contact [email protected] and ask for the review to be escalated to the compliance team. Our live chat operates 24/7 and can log your request, but formal appeals are handled by email so there is a written record on both sides.
- Missing or unclear documents: withdrawals paused, play continues
- Repeated failed verification: account locked for manual review
- Falsified documents or identity mismatch: account closed, winnings may be voided
- Restricted or sanctioned jurisdiction: account closed, deposits returned
- Appeals: escalate via [email protected]
How Long We Keep Documents
Retention and your rights
Under the AML rules of our licence jurisdiction, we must keep verification records for a minimum of five years after the business relationship ends, and we keep them for that period regardless of whether your account is still active. The law requires it: if a regulator or financial intelligence unit asks about historical activity, we have to be able to answer with records, not guesswork.
Retention does not mean open access. Your documents sit in an encrypted store, access is logged, and only compliance personnel with a legitimate reason can view them. When the retention period expires, files are securely destroyed. If you want to know what we hold about you or to correct a detail on your account, write to [email protected] and we will action your request within the timeframe our licence requires.
Frequently asked questions
Can I withdraw before verification is complete?
No. Your first withdrawal requires full verification, and no funds leave the platform while any verification request is outstanding. Verification usually completes within 24 to 48 hours of us receiving clear documents.
Why do you pay withdrawals to the same method I deposited with?
It is a core anti-money-laundering control. Routing money in through one channel and out through another is a classic layering technique, so our licence requires us to return funds along the same path wherever the method supports it.
Is it safe to upload my ID and bank statements?
Yes. Documents are stored on encrypted servers with logged, restricted access limited to trained compliance staff. We never request documents by email or live chat, so any such request you receive is fraudulent.
What counts as proof of source of funds?
Ordinary documents such as payslips, bank statements showing regular income, a tax return or notice of assessment, or paperwork proving an asset sale. For crypto play we may also ask for evidence of wallet ownership.
How long do you keep my verification documents after I close my account?
We retain verification records for at least five years after the account is closed, as our licence requires, then securely destroy them. During the retention period access remains restricted and fully logged.
